European equities expected flat ahead of the US rate call and following mixed tech earnings

As the market awaits the US Federal Reserve's interest rate announcement and comments, the FTSE 100 is predicted to begin slightly higher on Wednesday.

The Nasdaq and S&P 500 saw mixed closing results in the US markets, while the Dow Jones saw gains.

The US Federal Reserve is anticipated to keep interest rates steady after today's closure in London, with all eyes on remarks made by Fed Chair Jerome Powell about the timing of any potential rate reductions.

Following Alphabet's 5.2% and AMD's 6.5% closing New York results on Tuesday, Microsoft and AMD were unable to produce any more increases in share prices. Microsoft performed better, declining by 0.3%.

Over in London, the primary early attention will be on the GSK update.
