Pilots at Ryanair plan to strike again in August.

Belgian Ryanair pilots are going on strike the next week over salary and working conditions.

On August 14 and 15, Ryanair pilots stationed in Belgium will strike once more.

At the end of July, there was a two-day strike at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, which resulted in the cancellation of over 100 flights.

According to reports, Ryanair informed Belgian pilots that it intended to renegotiate a contract on rest and working hours. At the beginning of the pandemic, pilots also consented to a 20% wage cut, which is still in effect today.

However, the low-cost carrier asserts that it has provided the Belgian pilots with the same agreement that most other Ryanair pilot unions in the EU recently reached.

According to the company, 25% of Ryanair flights would be impacted during the strikes on August 14–15, or around 40 out of its 170 planned flights each day.

According to Ryanair, it emailed the impacted customers and offered a free switch to another flight on the same day, or on the two days before or following the strikes. Your flight is likely to take off as planned if you haven't gotten an email.

During the strikes on July 15 and 16, more than 80% of Ryanair's pilots participated, which resulted in 120 flight cancellations at Charleroi Airport. On July 29–30, the second round of strikes resulted in the cancellation of over 100 flights.

The impacted destinations included Bosnia, Croatia, France, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Sweden.

Up to the COVID-19 agreement's expiration in October, further strikes may be declared.

All Ryanair flights that have crews stationed other than in Belgium will operate as usual.
