Ryanair and Wizz Air recorded an increase in passengers in February

The additional day in February has helped Ryanair and Wizz Air declare higher passenger numbers for the month.

According to a Monday report from the airline, 11.1 million passengers flew with Ryanair throughout the month, a 5% increase over February of last year, while load factors stayed at 92%.

In the meanwhile, Wizz Air reported a 16% rise in passengers to a little under 4.4 million, but a 3.3% decline in load factors to 90%.

Liberum claims that Wizz's capacity increased as a result of the reallocation of aircraft brought on by the Israel-Hamas conflict and fewer groundings than anticipated from Pratt & Whitney engine checks.

According to estimates, Ryanair's passenger counts might have climbed by over 1% if the 29th day of the month had been taken into consideration.

Strong load factors, however, probably indicate that the benefits of online travel have started to outweigh the disadvantages of declining the airline's job offer.
