Threat to 4,500 jobs as TGI Fridays goes into administration

4,500 employees are at risk of job losses as a result of the administration of TGI Fridays' UK operator.

Due to financial difficulties and significant losses, the chain's owner, Hostmore, a hospitality firm, has decided to put 87 of its restaurants up for sale.

To maintain the brand and support employment, it intends to close a deal by the end of September.
